About the Brand
Garden of Eatin' was founded almost 35 years ago by Al Jacobson, a visionary who was always several steps ahead of his contemporaries. He first toyed with the idea of becoming a vegetarian in the early 1900s when as a toddler living on a farm in Pennsylvania, he discovered the family ate his favorite playmate, the chicken! Fast-forward to the 1940s when he dabbled in yoga and metaphysics and became a traveling product demonstrator for Hain Pure Foods, an organic company on the West Coast.

In the early 1970s, Al let his spiritual side guide him to start his own health food company--Garden of Eatin’ with the launch of Bible Bread, organic whole wheat pita. Then in 1986, after he followed his natural health instincts and purchased tons of organic blue corn, Al decided to produce Blue Corn Chips. In keeping with his unorthodox approach, the chips were launched at a major fancy foods show and they took off! Since then, Garden of Eatin’ has introduced more than 20 varieties of all-natural tortilla chips, each of them true to Al’s inspiring outlook on life and healthy snacks.

In 1998, Garden of Eatin’ became a part of The Hain Celestial Group, Inc., a natural and organic foods company "Dedicated to a Healthy Way of Life." Since then, Garden of Eatin’ has expanded its product line into several new categories including: Organic Taco Shells and Taco Dinner Kits; Organic Microwave Popcorn; Pita Chips; and Toasted Corn Nuts.

The Garden of Eatin' family of products contains no trans fat or hydrogenated oils, are all natural and Kosher certified. So no matter who enjoys these distinctive snacks, you’ll serve them with pride knowing they’re from a trusted brand.

Customer Reviews

The best chips ever invented, truly the pinnacle of human acheivement and civilization5
Fate has smiled upon you today, for you have stumbled upon a review of the best corn chips on the planet. Yes they really are that good.

I'm not in thrall of the whole "organic" thing generally, but I have to say these blue corn chips themselves are somehow FAR better than competitors. Crisp and thick cut, a strong corn taste. You probably don't think a chip can have a strong corn taste, but these do, because unlike competitors they're not cooked in a month old batch of mystery oil.

The person who came up with this "red hot" flavoring is a genius, this is the best flavoring for chips ever invented. It will make your toes curl and your eyes roll back into your head. It is only a little hot, but it builds up a bit if you eat the whole darn bag, which you almost certainly will.

I also recommend their plain blue corn chips for dips, but for the love of everything that is good don't get the unsalted ones.

you won't miss the salt4
I ordered these chips by accident. I meant to order "with added salt." I know, not a healthy choice but hey, I love salt! So, I ended up with a whole case of these unsalted chips. My wife said, hey these aren't salted! She was pleased. She worries about my diet. So, I had some chips. They're delicious! Good crunch. Very fresh corn flavor. Excellent with salsa. Sometimes a guy has to be wrong to do right!

No thanks1
The first shipment was stale. The second case was not as stale but stale nonetheless. I'm not sure if it is staleness or just plain grossness. I like other chips by Garden of Eatin'. Will the birds eat them? What do I do with all these chips? Amazon was great about sending me a replacement when I complained about the first case.
