Buy new: $68.60 Papas often prefer the bjorn, and in the early months there are times when you don't want to mess with the subjectivity involved in a sling; you just want to strap your baby on with arms in armholes and legs in legholes and go for a walk, already. From what I've seen, the bjorn is more user friendly and comfortable than the other carriers like it.

If you don't have a lot of storage space, go with something simple like this. I have one of these now so I can bathe both kids at the same time -- if I had a big plastic one they wouldn't both fit in the tub. I am pretty much as happy using this as I was using the primo monstrosity.

Buy new: $17.95 Weird that amazon doesn't sell fuzzibunz, those are the ones we preferred. They are exactly like these but have snaps. The happy heiny's (HH's) are great too though. These cloth dipes are pricey but they are so cute, so trim, and so easy to use (and get cleaner than an all in one).

Buy new: $15.00 - $30.99 These have have an advantage over HH's that they are adjustable so you don't have to buy new diapers every time your baby gains 10 lbs.
Sadly, they don't work well. They leak on the smaller settings but should work as well as the non-one-sizes on the large setting.
They've tweaked the design with the new generation, so I am optimistic.

These are the other newborn to large one size pocket dipes. I haven't tried them but hear very good things about them!

 | Chinese Prefold Cloth Diaper : Small (up to 15 lbs)
Another cloth option is prefold, with a waterproof cover. The learning curve is a little steeper than with the pocket dipes, but they are mad cheap, have many other uses (from burp rags, to stuffing pocket dipes, dust rag, etc), and are ridiculously easy to wash.

Buy new: $19.45 I had the organic cotton version of this, which was downright luxorious. I loved putting it on my baby. I'm not sure that these, which are polyester, would be as nice but I'm sure they would work well. I like that they have a thick velcro strip at the top so you have more flexibility in terms of fit. That's a unique feature.

Buy new: $49.99 If you are going to go the disposable route (or cloth during the day/disposable at night like we do) these are awesome dipes. They are made out of just paper. No scary gels or chemicals or bleach, no goofy characters on them. They break down easier in the landfills but work just as well as other disposable diapers. And there isn't even much price difference.

Buy new: $15.00 Kimono type shirts are great for teeny tiny babies because you don't have to pull them over their wobbly little heads. When you do that they get all excited and start screaming and you get afraid that their heads are going to pop off, and if they were sleepy you are going to completely wake them up.Loo lived in these for the first 3 months. Under the Nile makes some great ones too.

Buy new: $42.00 Bouncers are great places to put babies down, so you aren't tempted to leave them somewhere they will fall and bonk their heads. We have the older (aquarium) bouncer like this one. It's good.

We really liked that you can use this one for so long, even through toddlerhood. My 4 year old is just now hitting the weight limit. I slightly prefer the bounce to the rock, and I think babies might too, but you can use the rocker for much longer.

Wherever we go she can listen to the same sounds to go to sleep, you just need a cd player or computer.
